Had the lion troupe over today @ my house to perform Lion Dances in the afternoon. We actually asked for 1 lion, but who knows a different group and lion were on the opposite direction which in the end leads to 2 lions performing @ my house.

My red packets reach a saturated point @ $2,500 + before i loose my mind and went crazy to actually go and get a PS3 for myself! (Great! another item off my wishlist!) My bro did contribute $200 too though! On my mind was just the PS3 image and i never even think about the HDTV which is needed for PS3! Crap and now i have to save up AGAIN for a HDTV. *cries* I really shouldn't have gotten the console 1st! Really regretting it now!

Happy CNY people! Actually my plan was to re-design a CNY theme for my blog yesterday, but who knows i was so busy helping around the house + I was like almost burst after eating such a delicious 团圆饭 last night thus making me so lazy to actually sit down and update the blog. Anyways its 大年初一 today just woke up, getting ready to bath and go 拜年 but since the bathrooms are currently occupied, i thought i might come update the blog for a little.

My *ahemz* "Birthday" is sooo near that i can't wait to get myself an advance present LOL! Also the shoe i ordered (Nike Shox Turbo+7) arrived on 年30 afternoon! Just few days before my B'Day. So happy lah when i see the postman came in to my house with his cute scooter and innocently ask. Siapa Alan? LOL! Another item off my wishlist! Microsoft Windows 7 Beta (Build 7000)

Microsoft released Windows 7 Beta 1 sometime last week. I was able to get my hands on the beta version and did an upgrade from my laptop's Vista to Windows 7! Seems a heap faster than Vista, no issues yet and boot up times are sweet! Looks to me like they've stripped out all the bloat in Vista and refined the user experience. I think this will be the release that kills of XP...Finally!

One of the first things you'll notice when you run the installation from a cold boot is the animation that forms from the four dots of colours during the start screen, eventually forming a pulsating Windows logo. A nice effect, and much missed when they decided not to include any logo on the start screen for Vista.

Absolutely love the new task bar! Nice glowing color effects as you mouse over the tabs. They had the sidebar removed but the gadgets are still available to sit on your desktop. New calculator look and 7 had included sticky notes! I LOVE sticky notes! LOL. Aero peek, jump list...etc. Ladies & Gentlemen, this is the next generation OS! So look forward to it!

Alan Says: MCP Welcome Kit

Just received my MCP Welcome Kit yesterday. The package includes: 1) Welcome Letter 2) Certificate of Excellence 3) Wallet Card. I did some research on the internet and i thought Microsoft was supposed to include a MCP Pin in the pack too, but i never got it =( Also i never thought that they only print your First and Last name on the card. My middle name is gone! Looks horrible! :'( But still, its a very nice and solid pack! I laminated the cert and that n00b guy over heated the plastic and now the result looks awful. I should sue him for damaging my cert! LOL!

Future Of Computing

This shit is so cool i bet it's gonna replace mouse and keyboard to digital ones. No big deal for a tablet PC and an application that works like iPhone, but watch till the very end when she puts her tablet down to the table, that's what I'm talking about, and i thought only the C.S.I owns a made believe computers like that. I'm definitely looking forward to this technology!

Ooooh She's So Ugly!

This is just awesome! I've finally found the song I've been craving to listen to for years but not able to remember the song's name / singer. This song really brings back the old memory when me and my gang used to hang out 24/7 in Netcom KB. This song was quite popular in the old days due to its funny and interesting lyrics which i believe still lives up to its name now. I couldn't find the animated MV which i used to post in my community groove last time. But here is a clip with, i dunno....the actual singers? Because they sure sound like the originals!

I was revising for my exam this afternoon when my bro rushed in and told me a house across the road was on fire. Of coz i got kepoh go see what happened lah! Not really a big fire though but the interior 1st floor was heavily damaged. The fire was already under control when my bro and i reached there.

Everything went fine throughout the evening until the heavy down pour! VERY HEAVY! During heavy rain I've only see the town flood and worst case our street and up to our lawn, but NEVER INTO THE HOUSE!...........NOT UNTIL TONIGHT!!

1st my room's ceiling started to leak, then the house store were completely messed up then it went on to flooding the kitchen, then my grandma's room! My bro and i rushed like hell to move all our stuffs from our room floor to a higher place. Lucky for us that it doesn't comes into our room! Just that few "millimeters" until the water comes in! It took me like a whole night to clean my room from all the mess we made.

I've been thinking, heavy rain and high tide already flood up to Mellimewah's entrance stairs (During that time my house was not flooded at all) And with tonight's super heavy rain + high tide + my house is flooded SO SERIOUSLY, what will happen to Mellimewah? Imma check it out tomorrow!

Alan Says: What A Tiring Week!

Finished my Microsoft course today and came back down to KB. Finally I'm able to get some good sleep and relax for a while.....but not for too long since my exam is scheduled on next Monday! I'm gonna take a hot shower and hit the sack soon, have a good night sleep, and start massing the books tomorrow morning and get prepared for Mondays exam!

A few of my friends had been requesting for more photoshop tutorials. Maybe I'll do it in the next post since I have not much things or news to share these days. Maybe...no promises! LOL *Cheers people!* G'Nite~*

Alan Says: Attending Course Again!

Yeahhh...It's my 2nd MS course now! Which means I have another 4 more to go until i achieve my final certification, the MCSE! Muahaahhah! This course we're studying about "Managing & Implementing a Windows Server 2003 Network Infrastructure". Was told by the instrutor its the hardest course out of the 7 and I'm sitting for the exam this coming Saturday..... =.= hmmm......

I was supposed to sleep over @ my boss's house today until i finish the course, but since our instructor needs to leave early today, i've decided to come back down to KB, yes! all the way back down just to attend a birthday party!

Yay! Be gone 2008! We're in year 2009! My year! Year of the OX! *evil grin* Muahaha! Wishing all of you guys all the best this year! HUAT Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh....!!! $$$$$$

What is the 1st thing that comes to your mind during new year? For me, NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS of course. Well...even though i had never really stick to any resolutions i made all the previous years (ROFL) but still, I've got my 2009 ones and since it an OX year and as an OXEN guy, i'm gonna try my best to stick to it and acheive my mindsetted targets!


Here is my TOP 3 resolutions for the year! I'm not gonna list it all though... =.=


1. WORKOUT IN GYM 5 TIMES A WEEK / SPORTS SUBSTITUDE

This line had been in my NYR for 2 years already but always failed to carry out this task, i NEVER went to the gym 5 times a week, 3-4 times, yes; but not constant, maybe 1 or 2 months then I'd stop for a while in the middle before i continue again. Things won't go as i want unless i change this lazy attitude of mine...SO.........Year 2009..... 加油！ 加油！ 加油！


2. GET OUT OF DEBT

2008 had been a very scary year for me as I owe sooooooooooo much! I've already paid almost 80% of it, the other 20% I'm gonna finish paying it this year and OWE NOTHING! It's scary to see how your every month hard earned salary beign eaten up like that! NOW I'm gonna think twice before purchasing anything! (MY WISHLIST IS EXCLUDED OK! LMAO)



3. LOOSE WEIGHT (ALOT) + EAT HEALTHY

I've been naglecting my body and eat awufully loads of junks in 2008 and thus gaining so much uesless fats. This year i'm gonna concentrating in detoxing my body, slim it down AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE and starts eating healthy! Since I'm more into body building, it's gonna be loads of whey protiens, oats, eggs, salads, fruits, etc & LESS CARBS! I have 1 whole year to rebuild myself and my Goal Weight is 75-80KG by year 2010! PLUS! To moativate myself, I've ordered these designs from CapsuleTokyo and made sure i FIT in it by year 2010!
